Some believe in ghosts and mediums because they are in the bible.
Ex. Saul consults a medium.
But even though it may be true God commands us not to seek out mediums or conduct seances. The bible warns of the danger that you may be contacting an evil spirit a demon. We aren't to know the future only God is to have that knowledge.
Now there maybe questions arising about prophets. But they were told things by God they didn't know on their own accord.
Now mediums may be evil but exorcisms are not evil. Even Jesus and his disciples performed exorcisms. It is ok to consult the church if you know of someone who may be possessed.
So to answer this question. Yes, everyday people witness evidence that maybe exorcisms or paranormal activity. But since it is in the the bible I do believe in demons. I do go back and forth on my belief in ghosts but I definitely believe in demons.
